Food glorious food
The man behind the seasonally changing menu at The Milbury is Mike Smollett, who was previously executive head chef at the Old Thorns Hotel in Liphook.
Like Clive and Tanith, he wanted to swap the high pressure environment of a hotel for the slightly more relaxed pub lifestyle, whilst still offering a high quality guest experience.
Mike’s menus are led by the seasons, based on the best local ingredients he can lay his hands on, and offer the opportunity for guests to share dishes tapas-style.
You won’t find a separate children’s menu at The Milbury, as Clive and Tanith believe in the French way of encouraging children to eat the same as adults, but some of the dishes can be made a little more simple.
